At first glance, it's an attractive selma with a well defined swirl of piped cream but on closer inspection it starts to reveal it's true colours - that it's a competent traditional semla but not special. The bun has good sized pieces of ground cardamom but it's a bit too fluffy. The lid was a good size and shape (triangular wins 😊) but the almond paste was quite "standard". There was nothing that could lift it to that special our outstanding level. I was about to note that there wasn't any chunks of almond - but actually there were 2. Just 2, which gave me a "token gesture" feeling, sadly 😒. 48kr.
