A 8cm medium selma. 8.5cm tall.

A triangular lid with cream as high as the bun. Almond paste and roasted almonds are plentiful and oosing out over the sides. So nice to see paste and nuts without having to hunt for them!

Thick sweet paste with ground cardamom and topped with roasted salted whole almonds. You could smell the cardamom emitting from this semla from a distance .

Unsweetened cream, which works excellently with the sweet paste and the salted nuts. Your tongue just doesn't know what to do as it's hit with the salt, the sweet, the roasted bitterness, the fat of the cream. It's a semla sensation bomb!

The texture of the bun is exactly how I like it, fresh, soft but compact and a lid that's airy and light.

Outstanding. No wonder they sold 12104 of these on Shrove Tuesday!
