Lovely soft bread. I could have eaten this bread bun on its own! The cream was nicely whipped and really did taste of cream. Sometimes I wonder how some bakeries manage to make their cream taste so bland? Not this one. Triangular lid 👍. It got a bit of "cream damage" during transport, which is perhaps to be expected as they put them into paper bags (with "semlor" printed on). I'll take a bit of cream damage if it means they don't use those bloody boxes with plastic windows! So far Gamla Östberga Bageri and @bagerietbak are the only two this season so far who haven't had plastic involved in their takeaway packaging 👏. Back to the semla😊. The almond paste was standard or "classic" - there were no sizeable chunks or extra bits of almond, but it had a clear taste of almond - that lovely marzipan kick - and had a perfect consistency. Gamla Östberga Bageri is a small batch bakery everything is made by them in-store. A very enjoyable and price worthy 36kr.
